Tentative Event Schedule 2012

Cape Coral Cardboard Boat Regatta is scheduled for Friday, April 20th and Saturday, April 21*, 2012 (*Rain date is Sunday April 17th) at Four Freedoms Park in Downtown Cape Coral, FL

Four Freedoms Park and Recreation Center is nestled on 3.2 acres overlooking the Bimini Basin, off of Cape Coral Pkwy between Coronado Pkwy and Santa Barbara Blvd. (click here for map)

Friday April 20th	TIME	ACTIVITY
	5:00 PM	“Meet the Boat Builder” Party kicks off with food and drinks for purchase accompanied by live music. The boats will be on display for viewing and judging. There will be a VIP Fish Fry dinner available for $14 per person. If a ticket is purchased in advance it includes parking ($5.00) for the evening.
	5:45 PM	Opening Ceremony & welcome
	5:00 - 10:00 PM	Boats are on display and are being judged for construction awards
	6:00 PM	Second Music set
	6:45 PM	Presentation of the Honorary Achievement Award
	7:00 PM	Third Music Set
	7:45 PM	50/50 Winner
	8:00 PM	Fourth music set
	9:00 PM	Fifth music set
Saturday April 21st	TIME	CARDBOARD BOAT REGATTA (Rain delay on Sunday, April 21st)
	9:00 - 3:00 PM	Boat viewing, Food and beverages (including beer) served, 50/50 tickets, Children's playground and blow-up slide, Vendors will be setup for you to browse and purchase items. Event T-Shirts will be on sale.
	9:00 to 10:00 AM	Judges will review all teams for the Best Team Effort Award.
	9:00 to 11:00	You may vote for your favorite boats in two categories. The winners will be awarded the People's Choice Awards.
	10:00 -10:20 AM	Official opening of the event - Announcement of the winners of the Judges awards
	11:00 - 2:00 PM	The cardboard boat races including Citizen's Challenge races. You can paddle one of the Rotary boats and challenge your friends or neighbors to a race or just paddle one for fun in a race. People's Choice Awards announced when votes are tabulated.
	2:00 PM	50/50 Winner(s) and award ceremonies

Big Wave Competition #4


		Join us on April 20th and 21th, 2012 at Four Freedoms Park in Cape Coral, FL for our annual Cardboard Boat Regatta. The Regatta is open to participation from businesses, schools, youth groups, groups of friends, and non-profit organizations desiring to build a boat and participate. This is a wonderful team-building experience; giving employees an opportunity to work together toward a common goal and have a lot of fun doing it.
